People, environment, circular economy and sustainable growth, the themes of Lucart at Ecomondo
Lucart will be at Ecomondo, the reference event for the green and circular economy in Europe from November 5 to 8 (Hall 1B - Stand 107)
- This year's news will include the new recycled and recyclable paper packaging of the Grazie Natural line and the products of the EcoNatural line.
- It will also be an opportunity for the company to present the ongoing projects, including the Municipal-Material-Cycle Ò project that won the 2019 European Cleaning and Hygiene Award.
Lucart, the European leader in the production of tissue, airlaid and MG paper for flexible packaging, is continuing on the virtuous path towards a circular paper economy by focusing on sustainable and innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of its products.
EcoMondo, the leading trade fair for the green and circular economy in the Euro-Mediterranean area and now in its 23rd edition, will be the opportunity to illustrate the company’s commitment to the environment to visitors through the products of the Grazie Natural line for domestic consumption and the products of the EcoNatural line for the professional markets. It will also be the chance to tell institutions about the circular business model proposed by the Municipal-Material-CycleÒ project that was named "Best European Initiative Raising the Profile of the Professional Cleaning Sector" at the European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards 2019 in London on October 17.
"One of our goals has always been to put people and the environment at the heart of our business strategy. We are convinced that promoting sustainable growth and the circular economy is essential to ensure a greener and more liveable future for new generations", said Massimo Pasquini, CEO of Lucart. "With this in mind, we have developed products and projects that offer consumers the opportunity to make sustainable choices and to establish strategic partnerships with international companies that share our sustainable vision of the world. And we commit to continue doing so".
This year's new include the new packaging made of recycled and recyclable paper for the Grazie Natural and EcoNatural line, designed to provide a more sustainable choice that is closer to nature and with which the company wants to contribute to the general policy of reducing the use of virgin plastic materials, replacing them with eco-compatible and recycled packaging.
Furthermore, Lucart will be presenting the Municipal-Material-CycleÒ project created to develop a circular, durable and replicable economy system capable of actively involving local communities through the recycling and conversion of beverage cartons into new toilet and sanitary paper products. Through this project, which started in 2015 in Slovenia with a trial period in the city of Novo Mesto and seven neighbouring municipalities, Lucart initially involved the local community (about 65,000 inhabitants), leading to the recycling of about 105 tonnes of beverage cartons over three years.
In 2019 the project was also launched in Ljubljana, with a recycling and consumption potential almost five times higher than that of Novo Mesto. To date, MMC® is being internationalised in other countries by a team of professionals who will offer advice and support to distributors interested in proposing the project to their local communities.
