More than 65,000 recycled beverage cartons and almost 2 tons of CO2 less* emitted into the atmosphere. These are the positive effects on the environment obtained by our collaboration with the most important international event dedicated to food culture, which was held in Turin from September 22nd to 26, 2016th, organized by Slow Food, Regione Piemonte and Città di Torino.

Lucart supplied paper products (toilet paper, napkins, handtowels, tablecloths, etc.) made by recycling Tetra Pak® type beverage cartons. We were picked as Systemic Event Design Partner in tune with the theme of the 2016 edition (“Voler bene alla terra”, loving our Earth).  The collaboration began in the year in which we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the event and the 30 years of Slow Food.

The occasion brought together hundreds of families throughout the region since 2004. It is a five-day event in which farmers, shepherds, fishermen, manufacturers, cooks and educators from all over the world share small daily gestures, customs and traditions with their guests. Since 2006, the Salone Internazionale del Gusto and Terra Madre adopted the Systemic Event Design (SeeD) approach, developed by the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo for Slow Food, which defines a new concept of event quality.

In 2016, the SEeD project (aimed at organising events with low environmental impact) enhanced the relationships with the local territory and the community to leave a positive heritage, applying rules and principles oriented towards saving, reusing and recycling resources. It is with this in mind that we have joined the Natural project and all our products made of Fiberpack®.
