Lucart wins the “Non sprecare” award
Thanks to the Natural project, Lucart won the 2016 "Non sprecare" award, in the "Companies" section. The award is the brainchild of journalist and writer Antonio Galdo, director of the website nonsprecare.it, to stop waste.
Now in its seventh edition, the award promotes projects and good economic and social practices that question the contemporary paradigm of waste. For this reason, the organisers have decided to award the Natural project, which aims to produce paper and other objects without cutting down any trees, but through the recycling of post-consumer beverage containers, such as Tetra Pak®.
In tune with the spirit of the event, the winners were awarded at the LUISS University of Rome with their weight in organic products, offered by the Alce Nero.
"We are very pleased with this new recognition", said Guido Pasquini, Sales Director of the Group. "It is a further confirmation that we are going in the right direction by adopting development models that minimise waste and demonstrate that the principles of the circular economy are applicable in all sectors".
"The revolution in the name of 'not wasting' is now underway in the country and translates into new lifestyles, new consumption, and new economic growth", commented Antonio Galdo, creator of the award. "This also through the leverage of projects and products that combine research, innovation, waste reduction and respect for the environment in all areas. Here lies our future. There is scope to become competitive again, more importantly, there is employment for many young people who are unsuccessfully looking for it".
The "Non Sprecare" award, in collaboration with the LUISS "Guido Carli" University of Rome, makes use of partnerships with important Italian players: Ministry of the Environment , WWF, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Gruppo editoriale Banzai, RAI Radio1, University “La Sapienza” di Roma and Fondazione Catalano.
